oh really

Geoff couldn't help but smile when Dayton said that. "You sure about this?" Geoff studied Dayton's face.

"Yeah, absolutely, if you think its something you want to do. I'm behind you. You haven't been wrong about anything yet." Dayton went back to drinking his coffee.

Geoff just nodded. "But it would be life changing. You know, bringing a baby into ...this."

It was so quiet and tranquil.

"Yeah, it would definitely be different." Dayton agreed.

"Its just you know, I hadn't thought so much about how she might feel with you in the picture." Geoff sipped more coffee then.

"You think she thinks she has a chance with you? Is that what you're trying to say?" Dayton winced, putting down his cup and went to cut the brownies.

"No. No. Of course, not." Geoff cracked up then. "Its just if she knows I'm with you, she might not like the idea at all. Me adopting her baby."

"I'll be nice. I really will." Dayton promised and then he stuck some of the brownie in Geoff's mouth before Geoff had another thing to say.

He ate at the candy then. It was more of a candy bar than just a brownie, with the chocolate chip-peanut butter fudge on top of the marshmallow and brownie. He licked his lips then.

"I think I'm in love with your brownies," Geoff then said.

"Maybe it'll soften the blow if I bring some to Nancy." Dayton suggested.

"Just when have you started being a nice guy?" Geoff laughed.

"Well, its all your fault. It really is." Dayton stuck the rest of the brownie in his own mouth.

i like the conversation they had. and i do tend to listen to music when i write. But the thing is it has to be a certain song that sets the mood in my opinion. If it doesn't fit the story it throws me off. Sometimes though stories come out of music for me.
