Nancy had a lot cool stuff at her apartment. Everything matched. All clean lined and serious. Nothing thrifty about her. She worked at an insurance place and Dayton had just about decided she was perfect.
Yeah, they did look good together. And it didn't hurt that she was crazy about him. There was no time to dwell that this might be all so artifical. This was what he needed. He couldn't ask for anything better. To Dayton this was definitely moving up. Nancy had style. A sense of herself and what she wanted. He could deal. It could work.
Why had he wasted so much time with Bex?
"You don't think Bex will be upset that we're seeing each other, do you?" Nancy wanted to know, all sincere with him on the couch cuddled next to her watching reality TV.
"Maybe," he grinned. He could only think of it as a plus that it might be. It made him happier to be here and made it easier to leave Chris behind. He could easily slip into this. This was where he should be. Wasn't it? It felt like it. He had to keep believing it because that was what was expected, and he knew Chris would understand. He just would. Only he had to stop thinking about him. He would. He was going too. Dayton just had to keep his game face on. Act interested in whatever Nancy said. He could do that.
"But I don't really care." Dayton knew he should say. He gave her a sexy look and before he knew it they were making outm and he could feel it in his bones already.... Dayton was moving on. Moving on with Nancy.
He caught himself grinning more, thinking of that snake in Bex's house. He couldn't help but chuckle while Nancy was prodding her tongue in his mouth.
"What's so funny?" She pulled away, giving him a serious look.
"Nothing, nothing at all," he smiled rubbing his nose against hers. "Just happy to be here, that's all."

Hey Cait! thanks for droppin' by at my blog. that made me think, you think that Leon and Edward have the same character? Leon is a bi, do you think Edward too? Honestly, I haven't read the book but my friends and co-workers are swarming with the book. I had no time to read but I'll find to read it once I got the time =) But I'm excited to watch the movie
