Geoff could see Nancy was terribly upset about the thought of having a C-section. She'd been informed of this because of the herpes.
"I've seen plenty of studies, being on the right meds, you can have a normal birth." He told her of a friend of his who had been through the same ordeal and hadn't had to go through anything like major surgery to have a baby.
"Well, I want to give the baby up for adoption, and I'd rather not have any reminders, if you know what I mean." She winced.
Geoff just nodded.
"You're really sure about that?" Geoff wanted to know. "I mean, this might be what really makes a great change in your life."
"I don't think so." By the look on her face he could see she hated the idea.
"Then I'm sure you're going to make one family very lucky then." Max chimed in.
"I guess." She sounded as if there wasn't much comfort in that, either. "You know, I hate not knowing, too. Like it'll be this locked door, and I won't know what really happened."
"There's always open adoption. Perhaps you could look into that," Max then said.
"Yeah, I guess."
Geoff just watched Nancy, wishing he could give her a little hope, but he had to be on Dayton's side too. He knew Dayton didn't want her having any hope at all.
"Do you know anyone who might want the baby?" Geoff couldn't help himself.
She shook her head, no.
"What if its someone you knew?" Geoff asked.
"Well, that would be great. I'd feel so much better about knowing who it was, you know." She hugged herself.
Geoff didn't want to say anything else, but if felt like a sign to him. This was something he wanted to do.

Ok, now I'm starting to feel sorry for NANCY! What is this? It's because of the herpes, on top of everything, I think.
Someone I know said that she was happy she was having a C-section because she was afraid of the pain in the birth.
I think she could do this "JunO" thing, couldn't she? >With the adoption.

hope you're having a great week and that your weekend will be wonderful too. thankfully, we're supposed to have sunny, warm days. i can't get enough of that!

Argh, I'm sorry I've been missing out on all these posts lately! I'll try to get caught up on everything...
But from what I've read in this post, ack! A C-section! Don't worry Nancy, my dad's an OBGYN, he does these all the time! Hmm, I wonder if Nancy can't make up her mind, if she'll end up keeping the baby? O: Ah, so many babies!
