"You can't just stay mad at them," Max said once Chris explained the surprise party.
"Why didn't they come when, you know, months ago?" Chris handed Chloe over to Max.
"Maybe because it was horribly cold." Max told him. "It'll be Easter before you know it. And we should have our picture made with Chloe in one of these outfits." He saw the pink lacy headband that was on the floor. He picked it up, not sure what to do with it.
"She doesn't like that kind of stuff." Chris informed him.
"Probably not."
"She could wear her pink overalls." Chris suggested. It was one of the first outfits they'd found together at the mall. It meant something to the both of them. Max remembered how Chris had been at the sight of it. He couldn't wait for her to grow into them. They were just so adorable and durable, ready for her to crawl in.
"Yeah, but you know, we have to do something for them." Max got Chris to move toward the crowd that was waiting in the livingroom.
They had a meal waiting for them and then there were presents to open.

aww...so cute. there is nothing cuter than pink overalls on little baby girls. my daughter had a whole drawer full of them..osh kosh b'gosh! striped pink, pink with flowers, pink on pink...everything pink. now she hates pink. hmmmmm.
