a promise

Oliver didn't want to ask. And he felt even worse that he'd had his little mishap in the bathroom probably during the worst time of the month for Bex. Her period had started.

Well, she'd be awful if it hadn't. He knew. He pretty much got the vibe not so much from smell or fatigue or the like when it happened. Just this smile she slipped into when it happened. Of course, he never asked if she was on the pill or some sort of birth control. It just wasn't a good question. He didn't think she was.

He didn't get it. She was in college. There was something rather old fashioned about her. About this. He wasn't going to dare ask her to explain it to him. Who knows, maybe it was just something Dayton had talked her into. No birth control. He would leave it as a mystery. He just didn't want it to be his fault if-.

She hadn't brought that up. And well, it might be little too late to think about condoms and what not. It just would be like starting this whole thing over. He didn't want to talk about it, but maybe they should. Maybe he wouldn't think about it. Maybe they could just kiss. And leave the whole Nelson thing alone. Wasn't there enough to be worrying about? Like his sister who may or may not have had a baby which wasn't his. Some how, Nelson had help reaffirm it. And he felt like an idiot now for even thinking it. Never again would he think something so outrageous and not funny, either.

What was going through his head, and then to almost drown in the bathtub. God, he hoped Bex didn't think he had suicidal tendencies.

"Look, I'm really really sorry I scared you last night. I didn't mean too. I was just out of it. I can't let Izzy get to me like that. She has a way of making me feel bad about things I shouldn't. I promise it'll never happen again," Oliver told her after-while when the tea was made, and he just wanted to feel her lips, her mouth. She was just beautiful. Perhaps sad but so beautiful. He just couldn't fuck this up.

"You're all that need," Oliver hugged her close then and he felt his warm tears in her hair. He kissed her neck. "I don't want to ever make you sad. I don't." It was a promise. He just hoped he could live up to it.

You have good writing with cool and interesting characters. One point which is a little off the wall, I like how you write about something personal likes periods, I mean it's cool because people might shy away from it in thetheir writing, but it's a normal occurance to the majority of women (bit of a feminist here).
